    Default Sauron's type

I'm thinking he's an NT because his plans are well thought out. He accounted for many contingencies, giving his opponents very few tactical options. The fact that he didn't predict the destruction of the ring doesn't make him a sensor, only stupid.

I don't think he's an NTP, since he doesn't live with his parents and he's actually executing his plan. So that would make him an NTJ.

I'm not sure if he's an extrovert or introvert. Did Tolkien write any stories about Sauron's teenage or early adult life?
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Sauron is a Maiar, a powerful immortal entity. I don't think he ever was a teenager, lat

Anyway, here's the really long Wikipedia article on Sauron.

I take it no one disagrees with my assessment.

Only an INF would get all emo over a ring.

Good point, but maybe that's not indicative of Sauron's type, because he's acting under stress.

Yes, but which type gets all emo over a really cool tech toy that can do all sorts of neat things? I say, Sauron is INTJ. Because it's not just a ring - it's a Super Weapon!

I'd actually say ENTJ, since he doesn't just conjure up a few plans and make someone else do his bidding, he actually directs stuff himself. He fights at the forefront.

^ I was going to say something like that. Yes, ENTJ.
