Default Donna Reed - It's A Wonderful Life

I just watched It's A Wonderful Life again Friday night. I love that movie. What MBTI and Enneagram Type do you think Donna Reed is? I find her character to be immensely attractive/appealing in that movie.

One question might be what type she is/was IRL but the thing I'm more interested in knowing is what type she is portrayed as in the movie.

My initial reaction is ISFJ, but that is probably more due to my dislike of the movie than any real analysis.

My initial reaction is ISFJ, also. But the culture of the time and the fact that her character isn't that well fleshed out may be influencing that guess.

Do you think an ISFJ would be so gushing over Jimmy Stewart though? I don't think ISFJs are really an especially romantic type - like when she set up all that stuff at the broken down house for a mini-honeymoon of sorts.

Well, her character was supposed to be just out of college when they got married, I believe, so she was still in her early 20's and she had been infatuated with him her whole life. I think it's safe to say that a lot of people in their early 20s, even the non-romantic types, might go gaga and get all romantic in her situation. Also, considering the time period, her character is more of a caricature of the ideal girlfriend/woman/wife and not a true-to-life portrayal.

I also took into consideration that, when there was no Jimmy Stewart, she turned out to be an old maid librarian (far-fetched, in my estimation, because she was a pretty, desirable girl, so why didn't she find someone else in the alternate reality?). But in keeping with that premise, I would guess that she's I and J. Any respectable movie E or P probably wouldn't become an old maid librarian (re: Violet). Also, I went with S over N because I can't see her being an INFJ (not moody enough) or an INTJ (for obvious reasons).
