Keep in mind though that the Prequel Trilogy occurred before the Original Trilogy, and that the downfall of the Jedi could have made quite an impact on him.

I agree, and I kept in mind from the beginning that we're really analyzing two different Yodas here, I just didn't want to complicate matters. The part 5 Yoda was a muppet that was highly capable of mimicking human emotional expression because it was human driven. Every part of his face seemed to be controlled by real Yoda muscles. The digital Yoda was limited to the abilities of his programmers to create a kind of imitation Yoda. (The prequels themselves were like some cheap knock-off of the original series, but that's another point altogether.)

The idea that the downfall of the Jedi had such an impact on Yoda is beyond the text, it is speculative. He simply appears older and wiser later on, if that's possible. He definitely seems rather tired and even more ruminative than ever. But that could be attributed to his advancing years. Wasn't he about 1000 years old?

I actually like the Prequels better than the Originals, because the story (mostly Anakin's transformation/tragedy, even with how rushed/unthorough it was) was much more interesting than the boring, cliche Original Trilogy's story of Luke, Han, and Leia saving the galaxy from the empire. I guess I just liked the psychological part to Anakin's transformation (though some people saw it too simplistically), and I related to Anakin (except for the whole aggressiveness/violence, counterphobicness, and volatility), especially his struggle with letting go of his attachments.

Well, I was thinking that he just got "older and wiser" too, but then I realized that it might not hold much water, since he was already 900 years old during the Prequel Trilogy. It only occurred like 17 years earlier.

Perhaps, or possibly it may be due to poor writing on Lucas' part.

EDIT: yes post 2900!

Yes, but "Old Ben" Kenobi has aged much more than 17 years, and his demeanor regarding his memories of the Old Republic gives the impression that they came from a more distant past. That's why it's necessary to consider the original series separately.

Edit - I looked into this time difference. Wiki indicates that 32 years passed between the events of episode 1 and episode 4.

Even though 32 or more years may not seem like much to a 900 year old creature, nevertheless there is a difference between the Yodas.

On a side note, if you preferred the prequel because it depicts the psychological regress of Anakin, then you have to either do a lot of forgiving of bad acting (including that of 9-year-old Anakin), plot-holes, and garbled plot, or you have to be so immersed in Anakin's character that you simply didn't notice these profound difficulties with the movies.

"The only thing I disagree with the [blog] author about is the Yoda lightsaber fights being 'cool.' Yoda is an old dude, 780 years old, with only twenty years (or so) of life left in him. He also never teaches Luke to fight and spends the entire original trilogy saying things like 'War does not make one great...' and 'A Jedi uses the Force for defense...' I didn't even feel like they were the same Yoda."

That post was a huge mood-killer. Because right now I'm in the middle of watching a funny yet informative 9-part youtube review of... ummmm... something called "Attack of the Clowns." or was it Clones? And what you wrote looks like something from the Bible. Or is it the Star Wars bible?
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; 2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. 3 And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: 4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: 5 And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.

6 And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: [1] 7 And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: 8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. 9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: [2] 10 And Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: 11 And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: and he died. 12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat Mahalaleel: [3] 13 And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: 14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died. 15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared: [4] 16 And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters: 17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died. 18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch: 19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.

21 And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: [5] 22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

25 And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat Lamech: 26 And Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech [6] seven hundred eighty and two years, and begat sons and daughters: 27 And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty and nine years: and he died.

28 And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: 29 And he called his name Noah, [7] saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed. 30 And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety and five years, and begat sons and daughters: 31 And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died. 32 And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
It's as good an explanation as any for a series which in some ways makes no sense. Good company is the least of
his worries. What did Yoda eat on the swamp planet?

Algae can be pretty nutritious. He probably had diarreah the whole time though. That's probably why he raided Luke's stash.

*Suspension of disbelief engaged, proceed with Star Wars sequel.*

Einstein an INFJ!!??

Well in the google search bar Albert Einstein INTP, INTJ, ENTP, and INFJ show up as anticipated searches where the browser fills in the rest for you, so I guess Albert Einstein being INFJ is possible... but most say INTP.

INFJ is the most intuitive type, and Einstein was indeed deeply intuitive, so maybe he really was INFJ. How very interesting!

Either that or Yoda and Einstein are both INTPs or INTJs.
