MBTI and the Ages

I was thinking about dividing history by arstistic-intelectual periods rather than economic ones, and got this idea: define the type/role that was the dominant in each historic period.
For example, the Enlightenment Age is clearly NTJ, with a rational and functional view over both politics, philosophy and sciences, breaking with the conventional statements and seeking the most functional and free way to see the world. It's possible also to see the two principal characters of this age: the Scientist-Philosopher (INTJ) and the Enlightened Despot(ENTJ).

I've made a quick list of periods, based on the Art Periods*(starting from Middle Ages for more precise description, but not limited to):
Middle Ages: SFJ (guardian with feeling rather than thinking)
Renaissance: NTx (I'd say NTP for both the "Davincian Genius"(INTP) and the Artist-Engineer(ENTP)
"Colonial": ?
Enlightenment: NTJ
Victorian or Romantic: NFx?
Industrial or Realist: STJ
Modern I(1900-1950?): NFx?
Modern II(1950-nowadays?): STP (the tipical heros from most modern novel books are always rule-breaking SPs, while the villains are SJs)

Comments and Ideas?

*: Each language and country has its own way to divide the art' ages, so my division may be a little tendentious or strange... please help me adapting it to have a more "global" feel.

That is why you did well in splitting them up. Your description suits Romantics, I agree on that, but Victorian Age lasts a great deal longer and in time, it also covers Realism and Naturalism, which seem SJ and SJ/NT to me...

Nomads and Artists do a major flip-flop in midlife:

Anyone trying to get a generational type on the Recessive Generations had better take the midlife U-turn into account or they'll be off half the time.

Ancient Greece- ENTP (people perceived the world as filled with incessant possibility and often engaged in philosophical discourse to build ideas off of the other and craft a concrete, rational explanation for the world before them).

Roman Empire- ENTJ (excessive focus was placed upon social structure and efficiency, albeit interest in possibilities was also evident through inclination toward philosophy and the humanities).

Middle Ages: ISFJ (people were often apprehensive in expressing creative or intellectual thought or indulging on their whims, in addition to being relatively subservient to the values of their religion).

Renaissance: INFJ (people were consumed by the newly emerging humanistic values and often tried to incorporate elements from late antiquity into modern day to better improve society's living conditions and get in better touch with their emotional core. Romantic Era: INFP (people were highly attuned to their emotional core and inclined to expressing their innermost values through the arts and literature, idealizing the world before them as something grand and perceiving it through an optimistic lens of curiosity and awe).

Victorian Era- ISFJ (once more, people became increasingly conservative and inhibited, with a strong emphasis upon dutifulness and adhering to the social norm, which led to self-restraint and sexual repression in the individual).

The 1910s- ISTJ (at the height of a new world war, people were consumed by a sense of honor and dutifulness to their national while trying to efficiently resolve the international conflict).

The Roaring 20s- ESFP (people were blithe, free-spirited, and nonchalant as they partied, savored the present moment, and frivolously savored a newfound abundance of wealth, with little restraint or moderation in their actions).

Recognition of their abilities alongside their weaknesses. ESFJs are all about celebration and having fun in the day to day. The strictness of social rules is not the focus of ESFJ, so much as the importance of everyone being included and enjoying themselves on a day to day basis. ISFJ pleasantly and happily improves the aesthetic of our lives, making our lives, healthy, relaxing and comfortable. Why are these values not being promoted in our understanding of the xSFJs while a false veil of aggressive conservatism is? When did typology serve to separate people rather than bring them together?

It's posts like the one before, where ISFJ are portrayed as just small-minded submissives to the status quo with nothing to bring to the world except stagnancy, that generates a nasty anti-Sensor bias that is not conducive to an understanding of typology. The poster may not mean it that way but it is a negative typism nonetheless.

Agreed. In general, they seem to be passionate, expressive folks that like people, not someone frowning at you because you didn't use the caviar spoon.

Hmm, ENTJ for the Roman Empire. I previously typed it as ESTP back in the day but ENTJ works (however the empire's attitude to innovation in later centuries and its inability or unwillingness to establish some sort of stable succession to prevent the numerous crises and civil wars which ended up eating away at it from within implies difficulty seeing the bigger picture).

Would anyone be able to type Ancient Eras? E.g. the Hellenistic civilisation, the Chinese dynasties, Ancient Egypt, Babylon etc.
