Interesting, why do you think that is so?, I don't really get Ni from him, much more of a Ti vibe, though very similar to Fi, He doesn't come off to me as say an INFJ like Jung, I'd take it Fromm was a 5w4 in the enneagram so perhaps that makes him seem more err NF-like, his vibe is similar to that of Noam Chomsky, an INTP 5w6, but Fromm is much more present and emotional probably due to w4, but idk, just my own theory. Brilliant author I must say.

I still think he's NTJ, I base that on reading all his books and self-disclosures he's made in them and a biography of him by Rainer Funk, he does think that the feeling and perceiving functions are diminished by the status quo.

His insistance that hope for the future is associated with the reasoning and rational faculties surely makes him TJ? Who was that guy who was interviewing him in the first clip, he was such a fifties stereotype, I liked the fact that he could agree to disagree and say that he agreed with him in diagnosis but not prescription. TV isnt as good now, I doubt that Fromm would get on a network now, other than to mock him.

Yay, someone with a deeper understanding of typology exists!

Seriously. I don't know one political commentary television network that does not try to mock people they don't agree with. It's a little sad; political spectacles seem to be greatly favored by the media over the exchange of free speech. I hate it because, you're right, someone like Fromm wouldn't even be given a chance to fully explain himself clearly. AND THAT SUCKS.
