I
xSTJ, Ni can have a good place with him, but certainly not the dominant function. Mr Burns is an INTJ, there's still contrast !

Oohh.. I don't know, I could potentially see a lot of Ni in the sea captain.

Personnaly, I can see Ni with many SJs, but I don't type them as INTJ for that.

You'd agree that the ENFJ characterization is approximately correct....?

Smithers is absolutely an ISxx.

Off the top of my head, the most straightforward evidence is his loyalty to Burns -- irrespective of personal expense -- and is probably best viewed as an extension of his 'duty fulfillment' prerogative.

He collects Malibu Stacy memorabilia, both from a materialistic standpoint and arguably as a means to connect with his latent homosexual tendencies.

ISxx

The simpsons and their types

I was trying to find conclusive evidence that R2D2 was an ISFJ, but everybody had an opinion so i left it alone. I came across this though about the Simpsons (yes it is plagurism). I am not quite sure if this is accurate as everyone has an opinion.

So what is yours.

Why is Homer constantly typed as an E?

And why is Nelson constantly typed as an SJ?

Now I think about it, he definitely is an INTJ although obviously an unhealthy one.

It would also explain why Burns and Comic Shop Guy are my favourite characters.

Dr. Hibbert: [Mensa Club is giving a public speech] When are we going to get to my speech?
Comic Book Guy: Quit butting in please. Your IQ is a mere 155 while mine is a muscular 170.

Very Well. I must hurry back to my Comic Book Store where I dispense the insults rather than absorb them. :)

This isn't my view. Like i would really sit down for 40 odd mins and come to this conclusion. After 4 mins tops, i would be working on something else.

My point was how different people come to conclusions with these types and that i spotted 3 characters who are not those types (me thinks anyway).

Mr Flanders is not an esfj or if he is then i am not.

Ha, I wouldn't even bother in the first place, but it's interesting to read through these kinds of lists and it helps to understand the different types (even if some of them are stereotypical e.g. Burns).

I think it is very difficult to come to correct conclusions about fictional characters because they are just that. So although some of them portray characteristics of types, they can change from episode to episode.

I'm personally terrible at identifying types. As for Ned, I'd guess that ISFJ wouldn't be too far off as he tends to get crapped on quite often by other people. He lives an orderly lifestyle, places a strong emphasis on family and tradition, and is very caring. The ESFJs I've met tend to be very direct and can be quite cutting although they'd say they were being cruel to be kind. All in all they're a lot more assertive than the Nedster.

lo, you think Ralph is an ENFP? Really? :D

btw, early-mid 90's simpsons is soooo much better than the modern day ones.

it really makes you realize how important writers are to the creative process.
