    Default Type Putin?

If you go by Time Magazine, Vladimir Putin seems to be INTJ (a strong second on ENTJ).

I would pretty much agree on that INTJ. He seems intelligent big picture thinker.

I have no input regarding Putin's type but those who read the Time piece might be interested in reading this Slate piece: What Time Magazine gets wrong about Russia and Vladimir Putin

Definitely INTJ. He has the cold, calculated, big plans, and long-term goals aura of the stereotypical INTJ leader

My Father was an INTJ. My ex-wife was an INTJ. I know INTJ.
I know Putin also. Not personally, though.

Putin is very determined yes. He was always determined. He is a strong TJ. And he is introverted. He does not know where to put his hands.

When he was just a boy he decided to become a quality policeman. He had the nerve to enter the local KGB headquarters and offer his services.
They told him to get an education first. He did. And what did he choose? Law and order.

His "vision" is an old, failed system. His glory is Uncle Joe.
    A Communist? Lads, read history.

    Edit.
I tried to read the Time "article" but..
I confess I failed in the endeavour.

If the beginning is bad the end is worse.

    So I gather you're saying he's ISTJ. That's reasonable.

I think INTJ is something of a Russian ideal. To an outsider looking in any very successful Russian will have traits of an INTJ.

Putin doesn't seem sensing to me. He seems very thoughtful and not concerned about appearance.
