My good friend admires the hell out of Obama and they're actually strikingly similar in a lot of ways. Both are very smart and driven, a bit idealistic, biracial, political etc.

    My friend is an ENxJ.

I can kind of see ENFJ, but I think ENTJ fits the best. He's extremely logical, efficient, and has a knack for scheming. Seems like Fe would make life so much harder being a president.
You can't be president without it. Remember how many personalities you have to juggle in the position - someone with very weak Fe would make far too many enemies in the process to even get to the presidency (unless they were particularly shrewd; see Nixon, Richard).

ENTJ for sure... he seems to be able to keep a cool exterior, a calm, levelled head.

I would say ENFJ because he's so charismatic, and he's not at all a bully or a dick, like many ENTJs.

ENTJ with an Fe-dom public mask. A poorly-fitted one, at that.

Must be unhealthy entj's you've met, because ENTJ's are usually very charismatic people...

Barack Obama is a 9 and so can't be an ENTJ. He is ENFJ.

According to what is he a Nine? He seems 1 to me -- the 9 being a poorly-acted facade like the Fe is. Further, theoretically any MBTI type could correspond to any E-type, as they're two different systems.

Barack Obama have always seems like a sort of empty shnell for me. Not any real personal opinion, just merged with the opinions of americans and identified with. Hav'nt real special talent on his own, but good coordinator and facilitator. ENFJ, and probably a social 9w1.
