I'm rather new to typology, so I can't go too deep in my explanations here, but I thought I'd give it a try!

I am currently reading "The Cost of Discipleship," and I have been speculating as to what Dietrich Bonhoeffer's (the German pastor and theologian who resisted the Nazi regime and was involved in the plot to assassinate Hitler) type was. I'm almost 100% certain that he was NF.

He wrote this poem in which he ponders his own identity: Who Am I?

Bonhoeffer contrasts the way other people see him with the very different view he has of himself, and wonders which one is the true one. To me, this seems like Extraverted Feeling and Introverted Intuition talking.

My hypothesis would thus be INFJ or ENFJ.

Your thoughts?

ETA: A documentary on Bonhoeffer's life described him as friendly and jovial in relating with others, but also as a lonely person.

I wouldn't know where to begin typing him, but I'd be interested in hearing other's thoughts!
