He seems very Supine (think of it as a "hyper-Behind the Scenes" Interaction Style), as well as Choleric, which is my mix, so that would suggest a 'high strung' INTP with heightened F. (I was wondering about others with my temperament mix, and never thought of him. Should I be ashamed? He's still burned in my mind as a busted pervert, and Haight's avatar with him and that young female keeps reminding me of that).

Why does Keirsey type Woody Allen as an ISTP?

I have no idea how anyone could confuse him with an INTP.

Mightier than the tread of marching armies is the power of an idea whose time has come

    Up!

I think Woody Allen is an ISTP:
Ti+Se+Fe = great interest and even obssesion about the working of relationships and psychology in the real world, in a analytical and sarcastical approach. A Ti-ish humor based on funny situations, his intrigues can be seen as complex mechanic.
Se+Ni= Woody Allen is a man who has somewhat a deep and singular vision of the world, but wich doesn't primarly lead his life, he prefers live and let live. He's very hedonistic and able to master any craft that interest him.

Really don't think he's an introvert.
If he were an N (and that's a big if), he'd be closest to ENTP.
But otherwise, I'd say ESTP, ESFP, or (I'm just being contradictory on purpose) ISTP.

I think so also, which is why I think INFJ. Of course, I may be confusing his movie characters with him personally (although, doesn't he essentially always play himself?).
Often a star was waiting for you to notice it. A wave rolled toward you out of the distant past, or as you walked under an open window, a violin yielded itself to your hearing. All this was mission. But could you accomplish it? (Rilke)
