What is your reasoning on McCarthy? I find him similar to Faulkner.
Twas based on an Oprah interview on youtube. He said he has no writer friends, he prefered to hang out with *scientists* rather than the literary community. Lacked the "playfulness" of the INTP. I dunno, seemed INTJ. And I've been seriously thinking INTJ for Faulkner too. He approached his work like a science.

Why not both of them being sensors?

They are very detailed with their descriptions.

Dunno really. But I've only watched interviews of them, not read their works I'm afraid. You probably can type them better than I can. But I say INTJ for both. Can Ns not give detailed descriptions?

They can, but your list is pretty heavy on the Ns. Any more Sensor writers?

Most writers are N man. S types tend towards painting, sculpture. design etc, the more "hands on" kind of art. It's not surprising or a sign of bias that there's so many Ns.

Are you claiming written language is an iNtuitive medium?

Speaking of that... I was just wondering last night if most great Actors/actresses were F types? I was thinking....how would one express the feelings of a character well without knowing how to express and experience others feelings in the first place? Am I way off base here?

Obviously not. Just by saying that S types "tend" towards hands-on arts in no way excludes them from writing. I have listed a good number of great S type writers if you care to actually consult the list.
