Agreed. Limey is pretty laid back as well. As for Gandolf, who cares what type he is. I'd totally let him do naughty things to me.

Gandalf: INTP - he is one of these fearsome old INTPs who has finally decided to act.
Aragorn: ISTP - he is clearly very intelligent and calculating but also very physical.
Legolas: ISxP - not sure about f/t as elves are very Fi people in arda but Ti is shown alot.
Boromir: ESTj I think his j is actually the ring having an unhealthy influence whereas he is a natural P all be it an organized one.
    Gimli: ESTJ
    Frodo: INFP
    Sam: ISFJ
    Merry: ExTP
    Pippin: ExFP
^ I agree with t and f for both merry and pippin but i'm not sure about S/N as while very sensual at time i think they are very idea orientated pippin inparticular strikes me at times a N.

Bilbo: ENFJ shows a lot of insight and likes to be the sociable person thats knows everyone
    Smeagol/Gollum: really not sure

Elrond: INtJ definatly Ni but can ber f at times
Arwen: xNFP seems happy but lost so NFP but sure about I/E
    Galadriel: ENFJ think thats right
Tom Bombadil: very Ne and happy bubbly so ENFP possibly ENTP though as there is little Ti or Fi

    Eomer: ESTJ
Eowyn: ESFp i think her independant ness and spirit say ESFP but with developed Si that fits with her Se due to her physical warrior wanabe nature
Gryma Wormtongue: INTP a very unhealthy
Faramir: IStP good f but i think more t
    Denethor: hmm an unhealthy xSTJ

Sauron: EnTJ I'm not sure as he is Te and at times shows intuition but his past shows as ESTJ side at times.
    Saruman: INTJ gone very wron
