What about Free People? I believe it is an ENFP store ;)! FCUK, I like that store, but it's too expensive.

I've never heard of any of these stores, save the last one.

I shop at Wal-Mart because it's right down the street from where I'm at, but I don't typically buy clothes. And I used to work at JCPenney.

Wal-Mart: ESTJ
JCPenney: ISFJ

And the next few are just a hunch but which I've never shopped at:

Hot Topic: INFP
Pac-Sun: ESFP
Hollister: ESFP
Gadzooks: ENTP (I just remember them selling a bunch of those satirical T-shirts)

LOL, are we in an alternate dimension? Aren't ENFP's supposed to tell ISTJ's to go with the flow and have fun??? And aren't ISTJ's supposed to tell ENFP's to stop being silly all the time?

I've worked at MacDonalds many years ago- ok so it retails burgers not clothes.. but it's totally XSTJ. Thou shalt follow the code!

Nice, silly thread.
JCrew and Banana Republic seem SJish. (edit: or else NTJish.)
Agree on infp for anthropologie.

You could at least make the effort to grant them a type :p

See edit - many of my posts tend to be works in progress. You have to give them a minute to develop. ;)

That's why edit buttons rock! I don't know what I'd do without them.

Any department store is going to be ExFJ. A team of ENFJs in a department store could take over the world with the cash they'd rake in.

Franklin Covey is so ISTJ. Any office supply store is ESTJ.

Video game stores...IxTx, depending on which game is being played on the console. Sports games and guitar hero, ISTP. RPG, INTx.

Target is ESFJ.

Gamestop is an ESTP. Its predecessor, Babbage's, was an INTx.

Yeah, I was being hoity-toity. The low brow version is coming soon. ;)

Odd, you say this; I tried to type all the cosmetic counters in Macy's. 5% of my income is spent at MAC. I think MAC crosses all borders and boundaries. It's something there for everyone. You have your conservative colors and your funky all eyes on me colors. That makes me think Fe. But there seems to me a lot of Se as well because their ad campaigns aren't very understated or subtle and heavily rely on visual appeal. I'd say something like Smashbox or Cargo would be S/FP, Estee Lauder or Clinique SFJ, Carol's Daughter NF, and Bare Essentials NT.
