Yeah, I'll go with INFP. There just aren't enough "What if's" about Rochester's motivations, etc. Although I myself always wanted a window seat with curtains to hide behind while reading ever since I first opened Jane Eyre.

Rochester...he is so wounded that I wonder if he isn't simply acting out of his Enneagram defense system. Can we see his true type?

That, or INTJ? He seemed Fi to me? Or maybe it's misplaced Fe? Either would work, in my estimation.

For the record, I pegged Charlotte as an INFP herself. INFPs factor into just about every story she ever wrote.

Emily seemed XNFJ to me. She had Heathcliff and Catherine too nailed down to be anything other than an NFJ.

Sinjin has a distinctly "Ashley Wikes" feeling about him, total idealist, lives in the next world, but he's tougher and is without Ashley's sensual passions. He pours his Feeling into his religion, but he's very J about imposing it on others, but he's heart not head he does it out of loving humanity. jmo of course.
