would you prefer the NY Times version Jack?

Alaska Inquiry Concludes Palin Abused Powers

I'm interested to see how this is going to play out on the campaign trail actually.

The general consensus from the politics profs at my university is that Al Jazeera is one of the most unbiased large sources out there. Sure, I could've used an American source, but it's sort of ironic that you call it biased. Because if you compare it to mainstream American press re: stuff published that Bush claimed to be true (and all that stuff we found out later that wasn't true) Al Jazeera is likely to get it right in the first place.

My question is why did they pick her? Come on they aren't that dumb or out of touch, they must have known this was coming down the pike. So what would be their reason for wanting this kind of distraction and uproar?

Ok, let me rephrase. "I don't care." From the vagueries I've heard, justice seems to have been done anyway, perhaps in spite of the law. I don't know the details, however.

I predicted that this would be an October surprise, but I'm not sure how much will resonate, good this McCain/Palin are down 9 points anyways.

I think it's hilarious that the Palin campaign issued their own report in which she is cleared of any wrong doing.

This wouldn't surprise me.

But I am starting to think it is just an example of McCain's judgment under pressure--a tendency to want to do something "dramatic" or "maverick-like."
