I'm fiscally conservative, socially liberal. I don't care what anyone does as long as they are working and not taking. I'm a registered Republican, however, I don't always vote for the party. I vote for the best person for the job.

I'm Neutral Good.

(But I still like you... even if you don't speak my alignment language!)

I would generalize myself the same way.

(Funny truth: I was always registered a Republican, but I was so mad at the Republicans around here voting for Bush in 2004 that I changed my party to Democrat just out of spite... and since then have felt out of sorts and miserable. So I will probably switch it back. In any case, I vote for whomever I like regardless of party.)

I consider my views centrist, though with respect to my countrymen they're probably not, and certainly not in any American context.

I always say 'reform liberal' because it refers to a foundation in the free market, but with certain social safety nets. I'm very left-leaning on civil-liberties and social issues (i.e. I support the recent ruling in Ontario to allow three-parent families), yet I support increased military spending. I tend to operate on my values and what I believe works as opposed to any particular ideology. I can't stand talking or reading about politics when the context is ideology.

In the past, I've usually told people I'm conservative, because people where I live generally see conservatives as having higher moral standards, and being concerned with maintaining society. They see liberals as being dangerous, immoral, and even immature.

In reality, I'm not conservative on all (perhaps not even most) issues, even though I do have a couple of conservative views.

I believe that abortion should remain legal.

I believe that guns should be prohibited in cities except when used by police or military personnel (despite the second amendment).

I believe that the draft is unwarranted in any circumstance, because compelling people to fight against their will is unfair.

I believe that the death penalty should be only be used in cases where the crime is heinous (a serial killer or rapist). I don't think treason justifies it's use.

I believe that the DMCA should be repealed, because it caters to the recording and software industry, and limits consumer freedom.

I believe that federal income taxes should not be increased.

I believe that privacy laws should be respected more by the government than they presently are.

I recently challenged my INTP friend on that alignment's definition when she published a weblog post. Like an INTP, she appreciated, I assume, the critique -- to a point.

Dammit! They never add the "Anarchist" option.

Erm, I mean "Libertarian Socialist."

Self identification and Self perception. Damn anti-inertia triggers.

I don't have a political viewpoint at this present time. I have been, more or less, everything on the poll at some point.

I don't think there is a best person for the job. They are all crooked and self serving.
