The only way he will be a hero is in the case that he manages to get you out of this mess.

I think that from all people on this forum you are the most likely to be the one who knows my opinion about this elections.

Saw James Taylor last night, and sayeth he (paraphrased): "We need Obama because we need someone in government who believes in government."

The last 8 years have seemed to be more about the GOP writing checks to themselves than trying to actually run a decent country. I wish they'd go back to the "fiscal sanity" platform. What, is "surplus" a dirty word now?

That's exactly what we don't need. We need someone who realizes the limitations of what the government can do, and who will concentrate on how to make what it can do function better.

Modern Republicans, as a rule, hate taxes but love spending. That mirrors the American public; they hate taxes, but they also hate when entitlements are cut. Aside from a few heroic exceptions, the GOP isn't anti-Big Government at all.

I hate stupid people. I believe that they should all be shipped off to Iraq never to return. Some of these people have that fucked up look as though they are inbred. Something about their eyes. Glassy, squinty and too close together.

If you're not voting for Obama I question just how intuitive you really are and if you're a sensor then I understand. *no sarcasm intended*

I'm about a 50/50 N/S and I refuse to vote for either Obama or McCain.

Hahaha. You should take a step back and listen to yourself sometime.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

I think we've fucked Iraq up quite enough already.
