Of course it is natural for an elephant to feel disgust every now and then.

But once the feeling passes and you have regained your good taste, it is time to put your big brain to work and start thinking.

Feeling is important but only as a prelude to thinking.

And of course it is important to think of yourself but more important to think of all of us. And for us to think of you.

I would hope that you've learned enough Bible Studies to know what "rich man" means in the context of Jesus' teaching. You'd be the last person I'd peg as a fundamentalist, MP.

This IS my good taste, believe me. And I am using both Feeling and Thinking, thank you.

Do you think this analogy fits? When we were kids, and I wronged my sisters, my mom would make me say I was sorry. So I said I was sorry. But was I sorry?
You can't spell "justice" without ISTJ.

If what you did was wrong, you should have been. Either way, your analogy is faulty; a parent is the authority over his or her minor children. The government is NOT the authority to free citizens, but rather their servant. They have rules to follow and rights to protect. Also, charitable giving exists, and it goes up when taxes are down/the economy is up. Totally not the same situations.
