Meh. I personally think Republican candidates are more shady than Democrats, but honestly, I hate both parties. And I hate watching everyone bicker all the time, so sure that their side is correct.

Come on guys, these are politicians we're talking about. And as ygolo just stated, the writer for the show said it can be done to anyone.

Not to introduce sense where it doesn't belong, but if you want a thread you control, write in a notebook, not on an internet message board.

Textbook. I live in a world of ideas, and am not terribly concerned with implementation. Least of all am I interested in writing an essay on why I don't find someone's hastily-thrown-together video amusing. I'm sure you're more familiar with another kind of INTP. I'll assume you know what I'm getting at here; wouldn't want to cause a ruckus.

That's a quite astonishingly ignorant statement. George Walker Bush was in the Texas Air National Guard, which has nothing to do with the Navy. Nor did he "abandon" any aspect of his service.

No, I completely and totally disagree. They just try to hoodwink the public about different issues. If you read any of Obama's economic policy, for instance, it's not just counterproductive, it's flat-out misrepresentation meant to assuage economically illiterate malcontents.

That was my point, but some people are actually naive enough to think that's not possible for people of a particular political persuasion.

My reaction to most of Didums' posts:

"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

No, not fixed. McCain may not understand much about the economy, but at least he isn't paying lip service to anti-free trade dopes.

I say we stop electing "normal folk" to high offices, we need more intellectual curious politicians.

Woudn't you rather have an intelligent mixed marketer than a below-average senile guy that is more pro-capitalism as President? Not to mention, you agree with the mixed market guy more on social and foreign policy (you're a libertarian right?)

So should we then believe that all politicians equally suck ass and balls?

    I think not.
