    Default 2016 General Election thread

Well, the primary season has wrapped up, and while we have separate Hillary and Donald threads, we don't just have a generic thread on this. And after seeing duplicate posts in the separate threads, I thought it best to just have a general thread.

I might despise the choices, but like a car wreck on the freeway, I can't look away.

I hope that others can join me in rejecting Hillary and Donald. "Just say No! to both!" Is my battlecry.

Anyway, feel free to post any general election things here......

    https://theintercept.com/2016/06/08/...trump-clinton/

Ian Read, the chief executive of Pfizer, said that he cannot “at this moment distinguish between the policies that Donald Trump may support or those that Hillary Clinton may support.”
Lol, people claimed they wanted moderates, but these two.....no thank you.

Doesn't even have to. People figured it out what happened on their own, despite the censorship.

Trump Is Looking for a Way Out | RealClearPolitics

But I believe that Donald Trump, the man who famously disparages “losers,” knows deep down he isn’t equipped to be president.

Let’s call this more reflective subconscious entity “Don Trump.”

Donald Trump loves winning and hates losing, while Don Trump knows that running a smart campaign and beating Hillary Clinton means he’d inherit a job he has neither the qualifications nor the temperament to perform successfully. Don Trump wants to lose. He wants this campaign to be over so Donald Trump can go back to doing what he’s good at: promoting his personal brand and counting his money.

To me, that’s the best explanation for the loony “Mexican” judge comments and other unforced errors Trump has made since clinching the Republican presidential nomination. A man who wanted to win this election wouldn’t make these mistakes.

    ...

I will confess that there is another likely possibility.

Perhaps “Don” Trump doesn’t really exist, and Trump is The Donald all the way down to his subconscious. In that case, the explanation is that Trump simply cannot help himself: He’s so narcissistic and needy and thin-skinned that he must lash out at those he perceives are against him—while thinking he can be president anyway.

    ....

I'm either voting Gary Johnson, or I'm sitting on my ass watching a Two and a Half Men marathon. Haven't decided which is the better use of my time

If Hillary wants it badly enough, she could pick Kasich as her running mate. Kasich has few principles and he'd agree to it and all the rinos like Romney, Ryan, Lindsey, Collins, Whitman, etc will support that ticket.

Right now, the election is Hillary's to lose. The demographics strongly favor Dems and unless she's indicted (which is unlikely given how corrupt the Dem run DOJ is) she should win easily.

Trump has a chance if another major terrorist attack occurs on American soil (I'm not counting today's attack; it's still too far away from the election.) or if Hillary suffers a significant health problem such as a stroke or a heart attack or if Bill rapes another woman.
Senator Rand Paul is alive because of modern medicine and because his attacker punches like a girl.

No. Trump is too much worse than Clinton and everyone else has too little of a chance. I'll be voting for Clinton.

And I would have said that Trump hasn't had a realistic shot at winning. The only thing that could give Donald Trump a chance of winning is some kind of jarring event that might favor his image. But now, the shooting in Orlando is precisely that kind of thing. Hopefully it doesn't result in him winning.
    Go to sleep, iguana.

26 dead kids are a much more noble political football.
