I didn't say capitalism will take us back to feudalism(though it can depending on what style you are talking about), what I was saying is that while feudalism did lead us out of more primitive times, it doesn't mean that it is a system we want to go back to now.

Likewise, just because capitlaism supposedly gave us this supposedly great life, doesn't mean that we should forever swear ourselves to capitalism, anymore than we should have sworn ourselves to feudalism.
I see what you're saying, but I think you have a flawed understanding of capitalism. It seems that you view capitalism as a system imposed on others. I see capitalism as the natural state of economics. It has existed as long as there has been civilization. Feudalism was imposed by force. Socialism was imposed by force. Mankind keeps coming up with new systems to impose over capitalism, but you can't eliminate it any more than you can eliminate gravity.

Capitalism has only existed for 500 years.

No, any form of voluntary exchange is capitalism. That includes barter.

It definitely is a economic state supported and mostly carried out by the most powerful in society.

But Marx agrees with you, capitalism comes after feudalism, he just didn't mean it as a good thing.

Then pratically every form of economics is capitalism.

I'm confused by your defintion of "natural".

In a sense, feudalism was not imposed. It was evolution. It was exactly what you would expect of people. Basically, all forms of government are consensual to an extent, because without consent, a system woven of people never would exist. People accepted feudalism because they must have believed that it was better than what they had.

Of course, economics in general is not natural in the sense that gravity or genetics is natural. It's just a social construct with no tangible existence. I scoff at the idea that captilaism is unremovable, unless you have a ludicrously broad concept of capitalism.

Have you ever heard of bad faith? It's technically voluntary for someone to give me their money instead of letting me shoot them.
    Is that capitalism?

Anyway, according to your definition, monkeys are capitalists. Your definition is so broad that it becomes pointless. I'm apparently a capitalist too, even though I'd call myself a socialist.

I don't think most people share that definition of captialism.

Trade was not suppressed during Feudalism. There were plenty of merchants during the Medieval period, and later on even formed guilds to help each other out.

It just wasn't a society that revolved around the Cash Nexus
