What exactly is unhealthy about fruity yogurt? A little sugar never hurt nobody (that wasn't diabetic).

I like yogurt. Can we have peaches on the bottom? Peaches on the bottom are amazing.

I like this place right now.

I know you weren't talking to me, but my opinion is that 'free speech' that includes such laws are a contradiction in terms; the entire point is to protect speech that is considered unpopular and toxic by those in power (which includes educated democratic majorities of decent people), without (inevitably) shifting and arbitrary exceptions made based on how much indirect or long-term damage such ideas may cause. That way all ideas have the potential to be constantly tested and improved, successful innovations can get through, and less concretely but even more importantly, individual will and agency is both celebrated and protected against coercion and restriction.

Basically, free speech (and freedom of conscience) has to be prioritized above other goals and freedoms, or it doesn't exist-you can't just safely trade-off a little of it in return for more immediate advancements of other goals.
Its easy to suggest those sorts of things and its all very grand, it appears like something no one could disagree with but to be honest I think no one is harmed by the prohibition of child pornography for instance and that's just one example.

Fair enough, change 'unhealthy' to 'fattening'.

Yes, the fruit has to be on the bottom, or else the consistency just doesn't feel right.

Wow, I'm amazed we can disagree so strongly about something on which we fundamentally agree. It's only fattening if you eat too much of it, like, well, pretty much everything. And smooth&creamy takes FOTB every day of the week.

Oh, this reminds me of a story I shared on vent yesterday. It's totally relevant, too, since everyone knows that Blossom was a major feminist icon of the 90s.

Anyway, we were talking about Nine Inch Nails and I recalled the first time I heard about NIN was on Blossom. Blossom had become enamored with a young substitute teacher who she thought was so cool because "She knew who NIN was and ate only a single serving of yogurt for lunch."

Oh, come to think of it the Blossom actor did grown up to become quite the role model. She's a neurosurgeon now if I recall correctly.

edit: oh, PhD in Neuroscience and apparently returned to acting and is in The Big Bang Theory. The latter of which is kind of a strike against her.

She has a PhD in neuroscience, not a neurosurgeon, and has since left the science field and returned to acting. (Which is great because I love her on TBBT.)

lol. I edited it at the same time after double-checking wiki. Sry we don't share the same feeling about TBBT.

I agree with you about the Big Bang Theory being a strike against her. Not sure what the INTP Objectivist Anarcho-Communist Borg Collective has to say about that, though. Maybe I should check.
