    Let's for a moment assume:
    • For whatever reasons, the traditional family structure is collapsing. Forcing people to get married or stay married isn't realistic, and restoring the economical pressures that did so in the past would count as giving up half our work force half our talents and half our collective brains, devastating the economy of any society that would attempt it.
    • The statistical problems with single parent families are true (be it death, divorce, or not getting married). They have less money for education, grow up in poorer areas, have either half the parental models or a lot non stable ones, have half the grandparents and uncles to help raise them, the parents that they do have are under a lot more pressure that can and almost certainly will impact negatively their time and energy, and do not have the advantage of a continues open dialogue about parenting between multiple perspectives.

    Meaning:
Two parent families suck (Can not be relied upon to sustain on love).
One parent families suck (Placing children at a social disadvantage).

What is the alternative? What social model should we devise instead to better raise our children?
A different economy, which does not depend on maximized labor, or force households to have two sources of income just to make ends meet. With that, we also need completely flexibility about which role men and women take, so that the decisions on how much time a given parent spends doing salaried work or staying at home has nothing to do with what sex they are.
    Go to sleep, iguana.

Also, I know this is going to sound like flaming, but I honestly think jixmixfix is behaving in a way that borders on some kind of cognitive disability. He's neither demonstrating even basic comprehension of what people are writing, nor is there coherency between his own statements. Reason itself is mostly absent from all of this posts.

It doesn't even matter what he's claiming. His argument could be that lions eat meat, and he'd fail to make it.

Give some examples so I make you look an idiot again. More assumptions less evidence typical behavior from you.

So your saying it's better to shelter a women and put her in debt than to exposure her to the reality of the workforce before she gets screwed and wastes countless time and money on a career she won't like or is incapable of doing.
They aren't forcing women into these jobs, and saying they won't like those jobs and that women will be incompetent speaks volumes about your attitude towards women. You love the status quo, many don't, especially the women who are fed up of being put on a pedestal, and then thrown into the kitchen.

Lions eat meat, but they rarely hunt for it. That's what the lioness is better at. But the lion is portrayed as stronger and more fearsome, when the lioness rarely gets any credit (except from those in the know). If only they knew how wrong our view of them was.

Now, angler fish and praying mantises...

But that's changing, now. Thanks to Xrd wave Marxist Nazi cat feminism, lionesses are now getting lots of credit for hunting, even though at the same time they've gotten lazy and lions do most of the work now. The lionesses have their cake and eat it to, and if you try to point it out, all of those pussy whipped naturalists will censor you!

I never said women won't like those jobs and yes they will be incompetent if they don't have the proper training for those jobs. If they are sheltered from the workforce, which is what those sexists are doing by having an all girls day and which is what people like you are doing when you promote this non sense. Many women actually don't want to be put in responsible roles this is because women today have an increased responsibility of taking care of children and working at the same time if they choose the path of raising children. This is one of the reasons why women are unhappy today more than ever because they are force fed jobs that they simply do not want to get into. Did it ever occur to you that some women actually want to stay at home and raise their kids? while others are more ambitious and choose careers in business, and engineering. They should be given a choice not force fed by the education system or feminist ideologies and certainty not listen to people like you.

I'll be honest if anything has destroyed the family its been neo-liberalism, consumerism and capitalism, particularly in their unconscious and most insidious incarnations, the internal contradictions of all three are ill understood when they arent simply denied outright.

Feminism, in any of its varieties, has nothing like the influence or the impact of those three trends and where its not a marginal and marginalised niche pass time its been co-opted well by "the Axis", just like socialism or any of the rebel creedos that's been and gone.

What was the third wave again? I dont think the conceptualisation of feminism in waves is a good idea, you could aswell talk about waves in socialism, conservatism or liberalism and I think that's mistaken, there's fragmentation, diversity, distinction and disparity and feminism was actually better than some other creeds for frankly recognising that about itself as a movement or creed.

Going to maybe read the thread as I didnt read it all the way through and thought the OP sounded a bit like a post in anger sort of thing.
