It was the tendency to respond to the A) or B) question with the why not C)? Which interested me.

This response now is a little more of a stock answer though.

I dont believe its all brainwashing and morally equivalent. No.

Not sure I'd make my mind up about complex moral or philosophical questions on the back of how characters in TV or fiction perform though, its the tendency of the internet to convince people to try and make up their minds about big topics with little information maybe.

    You hem me in -- behind and before;
you have laid your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

I am deeply skilled at bringing order.

Does this make me the foe of Chaos?

    Default Chaos, Order and Creativity

There is a hierarchy with chaos at the bottom, creativity at the top, and order in the middle.

The psychotic personality creates chaos, the authoritarian personality creates order out of chaos, and the creative personality creates art out of order.

The psychotic personality can be found among our criminals, the authoritarian personality can be found in our military bringing order to the chaotic battlefield, that the creative personality can be found among our artists making original art.

The problem is that the authoritarian personality can't tell the difference between chaos and creativity, and so properly tries to bring order to chaos, but improperly tries to bring order to creativity and so destroys it.

Creativity is self ordering while authority orders from the outside. So order tends to destroy the self ordering of creativity by replacing it with order from the outside.

The authoritarian personality is so destructive of creativity because they can't tell the difference between chaos and creativity, and so treat both the same.

I naturally lean toward chaos, recruit order when it's necessary/serves my goals. Seems like almost all the time some order helps with getting what you want out of a situation.

But that comfort with chaos makes you really adaptable and able to deal with so many unexpected situations.

I guess "Burn that shit to the ground and rethink it now that you have no constraints to hold you back" is Chaos?

    Order. Definitely order.

I respond very poorly to chaos, and my first gut reaction to meeting it is to apply order to it.
