Default Politics Gone Stale? In the UK maybe

BBC News - Church of England urges 'fresh moral vision' from politicians

Are politics stale? Why? Do you think its a global problem the Church of England managed to identify or is it just England? Could it be the English speaking world?

This article by the CoE is meant to be as non-partisan as possible, they did credit the fresh thinking in politics in the UK with being in 1979 aswell as being in 1945, so I think they were trying to non-partisan but they have already been condemned as being a left wing attack upon the present ConDem coalition.

Of course politics has gone stale. You have the same options you always have. Want more options, like refreshing and challenging ideas? Tough. Why? Because the political machine is held up by traditionalist conservative thinking and won't change unless it really screws the pooch.

When we missed out on the alternative vote, we basically signed a mandate that nothing will change for years to come without a lot of blood, sweat and tears.
Isn't it time for a colourful metaphor?
