This is such a ridiculous comparison

    We call Yankees, Septics.

Septic is rhyming slang for Yank - rhyming with septic tank.

Is it an insult? How would you feel being called a septic tank?

Exactly. I call that being personally correct. In other words, if I know a specific term annoys you, I won't use it because I don't want to annoy needlessly. That's just acknowledging personal preferences, not ascribing some absolute negative to a term, though.

I once accidentally let the word slip in the alleys of Quebec and had to fight my way through a horde of Limeaux's like I was Jackie Chan in rumble in the Bronx. P.s. My mom is Canadian and so is most of our family on her side.

"We"? That's the first time I've ever heard that.

As for the question, it depends on how reliable and effective the septic tank in question is.

We whisper Septic just out of earshot, 'cause we know you don't know rhyming slang, and we know you think of yourselves as having the best sense of humour in the world, even though you don't get humour from Oz.
