Did you plagiarize that from a Republican speech? It sounds really outdated and soooo 1950s mentality.

These days Jeffster, Americans think on a global level. We want to remain a SuperPower by playing nice with European and Asian countries. Remember Indra Nooyi's speech at Columbia University? Through Bush's foreign and economic policies, we've continually given everyone the middle finger. That's not good since we're indebt and our federal deficit is going into the trillions.

I give slightly less than a crap how the rest of the world views us. This country didn't get built in the first place by worrying about what some cheese-eating surrender monkey was thinking about us. I hate that we've become so dependent on other countries' economies and civil wars. If I were president, I'd likely not leave the country, except maybe for a recreational trip like to see Wimbledon or something. There's plenty of work to do here in our own country.
If you were President, everyone would be a slacker smoking lots of pot.

Pffft, no. Most republicans have no interest in reducing federal power, they just want to use federal power for their pet projects instead of the dems' pet projects.

It sounds really outdated and soooo 1950s mentality.
Oh boo hoo. Amazingly enough, you're not the first one to tell me something like that. Good thing I don't care whether you consider my views outdated or not!

Last I checked, I am still an American. And other Americans think like me too. In fact, I'm a radical leftist compared to some Americans I know! Like for instance, I don't want to build fences and stop immigration like tons of other people do.

And I've already decried our screwed up economic system, and it was like that long before Bush, sorry to say. We started selling out to foreign investors a long time ago, and Bush's metaphorical middle fingers don't really have all that much effect when the whole thing is broken.

Not any more than they already are.

With your perception of popular opinion, it seems as if you've never set foot outside of a Democratic Convention. Many of us despise Hitlery Clinton even more than Obama. [Oops, I didn't see "democrats" in that sentence, nevermind. Still hate Hitlery though!]

Both halves of that sentence aren't really true. "The best Democratic choice at the time" should have been able to beat Bush. And Gore should not have "technically" been President. You must understand that by now.

Radical leftist? You sound like a Nadar employee.
There is little difference between radical leftists and radical conservatives.

So your argument basically is: It's broken and we can't do anything about it. Perhaps you should come up with some solutions instead of pointing out the obvious, and then your arguments would be slightly interesting.
