Terms including "email", "blog" and "fast-food" should all be banished from the language, according to French culture ministry chiefs.
Others words threatening to steam-roller French vocabulary out of existence are "supermodel", "take-away" food and "low-cost airline".
Even such obscure terms as "shadow-boxing" and "detachable motor caravan" - which have apparently slipped into French usage - are included in the 65 pages of banned words on the ministry's new website, which was launched this week."

Have you been living under a rock, Mr. Jung expert?

Yes it is old news. But that's exactly why you should know about it.

She said that before USA, it was britts and french who gave similar influences than what i called "americalization of the world" happening today. I asked which countries were effected by french and britts this way and when. You posted some random link about some french guys crying about them adopting english terms into their everyday vocabulary. Pretty different things imo..

She explained this, although not in the great detail you are demanding, but there is enough detail. And anyway, it is common knowledge to those of us who have studied history. The Brits tried to spread their culture through colonization of other countries; the French spread their culture via some unknown form of influence but the fact is it existed.

Since you know that it existed, you might tell me where and when you are talking about, because im certain that it isnt nearly in the same scale as this americalization thing. Also i am sure that it didnt exist everywhere. So, if you dont have the answers for when and where, you have nothing to say that interests me about this.

That's fine, because I have no desire to serve your personal interests.

At least once a week I wonder "Why the fuck can't my fellow Americans get their heads out of their asses so that we can be as great a nation as we think we are?"

I still haven't found the answer.

Okay, but next time you should look at the convo more carefully, so that you would actually know what the question is about and not just label it as a dumb question and give some dumb answer to a good question.
