Russia and China are no good simply because they disregard the environment. Can we look to South America for this? Not as far as I know.

    Who's to say they dont?

Doesnt sound like the sort of thing you can legislate into existence, shouldnt even try if you ask me but we been on that topic in the past I guess.

Do you have any idea how insulting what you just wrote is?

I cant believe that I posted something in a misanthropic mood about how useless I thought the majority of people were and I got an e-mail about hostility and an infraction and someone makes jokes about the holocaust comparing the world to the Nazis, which includes a lot of Jews, Socialists and other victims of the holocaust, and its grand.

I know I'll probably get an infraction for this post too. Kind of dont care as much about that sort of thing as I once did. Once the forum has shrank to a handful of moderators all congratulating one another I'm sure it's gonna be great craic.

They don't have to rule everyone, but there will be influence. This has changed hands over the years, as it probably will continue to do so. For awhile it was France, with French culture admired and emulated, and the French language used for diplomacy. For awhile it was England, with its far-flung network of colonies and long established traditions. Recently it has been the U.S. with our ideals of liberty and individuality, ideals we often do fall short of, but people continue to try to come here in search of a better life. There is much to admire in other nations. It might be best if we can split this hegemony after a fashion, with different nations respected and admired for whatever it is that they do best or differently. We can all learn from each other, and no compulsion or formality need be involved.
I've been called a criminal, a terrorist, and a threat to the known universe. But everything you were told is a lie. The truth is, they've taken our freedom, our home, and our future. The time has come for all humanity to take a stand...

I'm not exactly scared. Former Yugoslavia, of all places, is going to rally the world against the United States? Please. Apparently, you can't even rally yourselves into the whole "being a country" thing anymore

And what country are you talking about getting the influences and when was this?

France protects itself from the dreaded English language by banning 'fast-food' and 'podcasting' | Daily Mail Online
"France has launched a new drive to stop a glut of English words from invading the native tongue.
Terms including "email", "blog" and "fast-food" should all be banished from the language, according to French culture ministry chiefs.
Others words threatening to steam-roller French vocabulary out of existence are "supermodel", "take-away" food and "low-cost airline".
Even such obscure terms as "shadow-boxing" and "detachable motor caravan" - which have apparently slipped into French usage - are included in the 65 pages of banned words on the ministry's new website, which was launched this week."

Have you been living under a rock, Mr. Jung expert?

Yes it is old news. But that's exactly why you should know about it.
