I have know idea what to think about this claim when I come back and see this added to your post and then look at other posts and see you added to them and then one post you made was deleted altogether.

I'll be generous and presume swordpath added most of the stuff on the fly and not after he read my response especially since I do that too.

But I'm pretty damn sure he deleted that post after I called him out.

I deleted it before I saw that it had been quoted... Why would I bother to delete something if it were to appear in the thread anyways?

What did he win at? Let's consider the home field advantage.

Being something of a policeman yourself, the home field advantage would have been yours, though...

Be careful, he might start invoking civil asset forfeiture. Arguing with a police officer could be considered terrorism and you are using a computer, so that computer could be used in the commission of a crime in swordpath's mind. That would give him grounds to seize it, even if you are never charged with a crime (he could charge your computer, I'm not kidding, that's a thing that can actually happen). If you are posting from your home, he could seize that, as well.

Hopefully Rand Paul is able to get the FAIR act passed.

I'm just going to throw this out there:

Each year, around $300-$350 million of property is reported stolen in the US.

According to the Wall Street Journal, more than $2.5 billion was seized in 2011.

The police seized nearly 10 times as much as all the crime in the US, combined. The people they seize this property from don't even need to be convicted of a crime. In most cases, they aren't. Actually, they don't even need to be charged with a crime. There just needs to be suspicion. And once the property is seized, it is incredibly difficult to get it back. Most people don't bother.

This is where swordpath, kyuuei, and others come in to say it's only the "bad cops" seizing all this property, that it's not that big of a deal, and that people only care about this because they hate cops.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."
