The Yes vote said they would get rid of Trident which has helped maintain the peace for almost 70 years.

So I can't help feeling the Yes vote was pursuing a dangerous irredentist fantasy.

And interestingly the Yes vote was a vote for an irredentist Scotland. And we see this same irredentist passion in the Islamic State.

And even more interesting, as we move deeper into electronic tribalism, we are becoming more and more passionate, so much so that the word 'passion' is now a cliche, and everyone and their dog, "has a passion for their job", on their resume.
