    Generally, I dislike her approach to things, but this I see as her trying to get information and figure out what's going on.

    she can't be pressing for information when she knows more about the situation than he does. he also states that everybody - himself, his wife, the police & the FBI - have already searched his basement, but is then asked several more times if he has looked in his basement (plus the inane "how could your son be alive in the basement?". why would she ask that? why would he know? does she suspect him of having a finger in his disappearance or something?).

    that being said, i'm getting kinda sketchy vibes from this.

    He could've created a hoax to get on television. If so, it would've been a good time to probe him for info...If I'd been him, as soon as she told me my son was found, I'd have been yelling for a phone and I'd tell Nancy Grace to shut up.

    Agreed. Nancy Grace is so obnoxious. She seems like she already determined that he was guilty of wrongdoing. What is the point of asking the same question over and over again? The dude was clearly in shock. Despite the usual comments on YouTube, "OMG...this is so fake!!!" I don't think his response was contrived. He seemed legitimately surprised and relieved, albeit a little confused, to hear this good news.

    It could be fake and it could be real.

    But you should never try to prove either in any situation by asking yourself what you'd do in the same shoes.

    Not that I don't think this could be a hoax, tho. Something feels off here.

    Nancy Grace is the *wooorst*
    You hem me in -- behind and before;
    you have laid your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

    The look on his face when he gets the news seems off to me. It's a pursed smile and then it looks like he goes into character, acting like he's surprised.
