Guns of course are weapons of the eye. We aim a gun with our eye. The bullet has a trajectory, from the muzzle of the gun, across uniform space, to the target. In other words a gun is teleological.

Whereas the ear is non-teleological, the ear hears everything at once, but most of all, the weapon of the ear is humour.

So its guns versus humour. And you can no more shoot humour than you can shoot ideology.

We exist in parallel universes but everytime you log onto Typology Central you are hastening the end of the universe of the eye, and hastening the universe of the ear.

But yet, most countries subscribe to highly restrictive/banning of firearms. Could you make up your mind Mr. Mole? It's either we should be like you & the other countries (usually in the context of Australia) https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/bandwagon OR it's the above https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/gen...is.com/genetic This is where "evidence" and rational argument come in.

Americanism and anti-Americanism are two sides of the same coin. And interestingly, it is American themselves who generate Americanism and anti-Americanism. We merely follow your lead.

The opposite of Americanism and anti-Americanism is indifference.

Yes, these folks may look like soldiers, but they are historical reenactors. We can pretend our Civil War did not exist, or we can keep it alive in our modern memory, lest we be condemned to repeat it, as the saying goes. Mostly, though, it is just another example of (American) civilians using guns for a legitimate and even productive purpose.

By the way, if you are interested in understanding both our Civil War and how it is depicted in the modern age on a less simplistic level, a good place to start is Ken Burns documentary film.
I've been called a criminal, a terrorist, and a threat to the known universe. But everything you were told is a lie. The truth is, they've taken our freedom, our home, and our future. The time has come for all humanity to take a stand...

I am more interested in why Oz didn't have a civil war. And why did we fail to be provoked into civil war by the Americans in 1975.

Why did we unite a whole Continent without a civil war, and why did we gain our independence from Britain without a war of independence?

America believes in civil war and provokes civil war in other countries like Iraq and quite a few others, but failed here.

Being able to separate oneself from their anti -ism (anti-Americanism in your case Mr. Mole) requires disassociating themselves from their fears. This requires some effort and often the self identity/ego gets in the way. As the venerable Mark Twain once said, "Courage is resistance to and mastery of fear - not the absence of fear." It's what you do with these fears that we ALL have that matters.

What does this have to do with the thread topic?

Paragraph 2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Preamble:

"Whereas disregard and contempt for human rights have resulted in barbarous acts which have outraged the conscience of mankind, and the advent of a world in which human beings shall enjoy freedom of speech and belief and freedom from fear and want has been proclaimed as the highest aspiration of the common people." The Universal Declaration of Human Rights

It is this fearless state then that I'd like to see spread. Individual arms possession provides a freedom from fear. Gun ownership “often confers a sense of security” upon people who possess them. (page 9) http://ir.lawnet.fordham.edu/cgi/vie...26&context=flr This is one reason why: Guns ARE equal rights. ("should" be anyways)

Maybe I'm wrong though, not like I haven't been wrong before and I am quite willing to change my mind. Please present a rational argument though, preferably with evidence (yeah I'm talking to you @Mole). Thanks!

Other nations hardly need our help to engage in civil war. They do that quite well on their own. Lest one think civil war is the only evil that can befall a nation, we should remember there are also repressive authoritarian regimes; the human toll on indigenous peoples of colonization; and the pervasive problem of domestic violence.

The focus should be on violence, whatever means are used to commit it.

We speak the Queen's English whereas you speak a deracinated English.

Each word of the Queen's English has a history encoded in it's spelling, while American deracinated English was deliberately cut off from its roots by your revolutionary lexicographer, Noah Webster.

In short, you speak a bastard English that know not its parents.
