    Inequality is killing Capitalism.

Read Thomas Piketty's, Capitalism in the 21st Century.

Obviously some climates are more favourable than others, but history show that a sufficiently intelligent group can adapt to their environment over time and become great.

In other words, correlation does not imply causation.

Amerindians lived in a moderate climate by world standards, and an area nearly as expansive as Europe. The Europeans, likewise, were barred from eastward expansion until quite recently by deserts, mountainous regions, and hostile peoples guarding the routes one could take (and who often attacked them).

The last glaciation period affected many parts of the world, not just Europe, so that's a bad argument unless you are applying it universally, which you're not.
