@Typh0n -- Hitler was a leftist. National *Socialism* and all that. The only accidental resemblance to the right would be Kinder, Küche, Kirche except that the Church was supplanted by worship of the party and of Hitler; see for example Thalberg -- Amazon.com: The Nazi Seizure of Power: The Experience of a Single German Town, 1922-1945, Revised Edition (9780531056332): William Sheridan Allen: Books

    Did I say otherwise?

    I think you misunderstood me.

No one cares about Europe on this board.
    Or, indeed, in Europe.
    Though I'm disappointed @Blackmail! hasn't weighed in...

Looks like Merkel is going to make even more of a farce of this election and ignore both previous agreements and the wish of the European people to appease David Cameron and his island of Euro haters. Great

Nah, he was authoritarian center-left, Stalin was obviously much more to the left.

@Typhon -- the way I've heard it put was that under Communism, all the business owners were shot; under Fascism, all
the business owners who didn't do as they were told, were shot.

(Look up the definition of fascism in a 1940s'-era dictionary; it's interesting...)

Fascism is not the same thing as national socialism exactly. Fascism is a corporatist model, meaning that there is no separation between the public and private sector. "Business" exists, but it is run by the government!

    Can we conceive of that?

    Perhaps soon enough, we will...

(Look up the definition of fascism in a 1940s'-era dictionary; it's interesting...)
Interesting, if I had one handy, I certainly would especially since I looked it up the other day to try to explain to a relative of mine that "fascism" is not "right wing politics", but rather corporatism with a tolerance for social class(as opposed to communism, which has no classes, but does have tyrants...).
