Nah, and more importantly, if they did, they didn't do anything of note.

Unless they landed a long, long time ago. Have you played Star Ocean, or Rogue Galaxy?

Add in the fact that it seems very unlikely that the fundemental laws of physics are bendable (of which bending would likely be required for extended space travel), reduces the sheer unlikelyhood of being found odds so low that it might as well be considered 0.
Unless the ship has been traveling for a long, long time. Have you read the Rama series?

    How would we know?

We have no records, and human knowledge proceeds forward very safely and reasonably so far assuming that aliens haven't really had anything to do with anything. There are lots of what-if's to muse about, we would be sorry creatures if we entertained all of them seriously.

In the sense you and I exist and are not yet dead, yes, nothing of note.

My first response to the thread was, "Who cares, the result is here", but that does undermine the interests of a good chunk of people - people with care.

People do care, and it's possible... but that little grain of possibility drives some people to attempt to find aliens behind things that are perfectly explainable, or things that should be explored. Aliens as a concept are the modern mythological representation of the unknown. Most attention given to them are just manifestations of all those things related to the unknown: fear, wonder, attribution of things beyond personal understanding.

Of course space and time are expanding at faster than the speed of light in parts of the universe, so we might conclude that waves of space and time can move at faster than the speed of light, so if we can catch a wave of space and time, we would not be moving through the wave faster than the speed of light, but we would be moving through the universe at faster than the speed of light.

So baby, you can surf the internet, why not surf space and time itself?

I don't finish reading the question. Visited the planet? Unlikely/no.

Probably not, if there is intelligent life out there, it's already quite something, but believing they'd be capable of interstellar travel and have visited us is quite something else.
