That's a good point. When my high school friend got burglarized by a robber with his pregnant wife asleep in his bed, instead of grabbing his loaded glock and pointing it at his face, until the cops arrived, he probably should have called the cops FIRST without reacting. I'm sure the robber didn't have any bad intentions, even though he smashed out all the outdoor lights, and the window he used to get in.

Or the time when my elementary school buddy was bound and gagged by armed meth heads that robbed him, and then talked about whether or not they should kill him (they didn't). He didn't have a gun at the time, but you want to hear something interesting? He has one now.

But yeah, because cops can instantly transport to your home when you're being burglarized by someone with a gun with very ill intent and you have a wife or kids, who needs a gun of your own?

The only rational argument I have ever heard in favor of guns is that you already have too many of them not to arm yourselves against each other, which is probably true.

Are you afraid your responses would reveal too much of your true colors?

Well, it's a silly premise to begin with as there is nothing hypocritical about owning a gun and relying on the police.

Wow. You are good at this. You know exactly how to continue to get a response.

What the hell are you talking about?

The real reasons why you posted gun pornography in this thread and 'meanwhile in Murica' in the ESC thread, for instance.

    What?

That I want guns to protect me from bearded crossdressing singers?

There's definitely some truth to this. As the great warrior poet Ice-T said "I'll get rid of mine when they get rid of theirs."

But that AIN'T going to happen in this country in this lifetime, or probably the next one or the one after that.

    Provocation, of course.

Yeah, but not because it is impossible, but because you love the gun, as a tradition, which, as traditions do, perpetuates itself until something big happens.

It's kind of what this nation was founded on. There's a reason that gun ownership is the SECOND amendment. That's a silver medal.

Ha, and do tell, what is this BIG thing that's going to happen?
