I support a gun picture ban - if only to see the gun lovers fume.

The moderators won't allow pictures of the results of gunshot, yet they allow gunmen and women to revel in gun pornography.

There is a very big disconnect here. This is a sign of lack of intellectual integrity.

So I ask the moderators to raise the moral standard of Typology Central by making gun pornography against the rules.

It's crazy, ain't it? But it's deeply embedded in US culture and reasoning doesn't seem to have any effect even on the otherwise mostly rational.

My dad says he doesn't like guns because he's seen what they can do. Maybe if more people saw it our culture would change, but probably not because we think the way to prevent stuff like that is with more guns.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

    Please.
This is not about reasoning ability. There are dumbasses on both sides.
It's about values and who you trust.

[edit to add: Also, the extent to which you're easily emotionally manipulated by extremely rare, but horrific tragedies.]

The government already took your slaves; it is only fair that you can keep your guns...

I do wonder whom Mr. Molyneux calls when he has been threatened with murder, when his wife has been killed or his child gone missing. Surely not the police, this unreliable, dishonest, wicked bunch of citizen haters.

Are you not familiar with the history of gun control in this nation?

LOL. "Don't call the cops" is a common refrain amongst libertarians like molyneux.

And in places like Albuquerque and NYC it's quite understandable.

Before I can continue this discussion, I need to be clear on what gun pornography is. Is this it?

If it needs to be pointed out, it is not relevant.

I always forget: Is that the rule or the exception?
