So we openly laugh at your rationalizations, even the Australian Broadcasting Commission (ABC).
One thing I've never heard any American say is "I care about the Oz reaction to gun massacres in the USA".
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Considering you are in the process of using Oz as your pawn in your war with China, we know you don't even respect us.

So it is time to end the American alliance and remove the huge CIA spy base and the Marines HQ from Oz.

You will be welcome to visit but not occupy.

    Default Guns and Contempt

As publicly noted by the President of the United States of America, Australia banned guns in 1996 and we have had not one gun massacre since.

Meanwhile Americans promote the obscenity of guns on Typology Central. They do not examine the psychology of guns, which would be appropriate. No, they are so self confident, so high on the gun trance, that they think it is appropriate to promote the obscenity of guns to an international audience.

Guns are a designer item, they are designed to kill as many people as possible in the shortest period of time. They are the perfect tool for a massacre.

And guns are the perfect symbol of patriarchy. One doesn't have to be a Freudian to see the gun as a symbol of the penis. And just as a drawn gun is an immediate threat, so is the publicly drawn penis.

It takes moral and physical courage to ban guns, and we have banned guns over two Continents, Australia and Antarctica.

Guns corrupt the psyches of American men, and very sadly, but in a different but complementary way, corrupt the psyches of American women.

But what is extraordinary is the aggressive and naive way gun culture is promoted on Typology Central to an international audience.

It truly shows the contempt the Americans have the international members of Typology Central.

I'd think it to simply be a byproduct of priorities/focus on existing values/perceptions/worldview, judge it self-centered and dismiss it for it's shortsightedness; but then it occurs to me how justified it might be, ie, in a pragmatic, survivalist way, local and foreign policy is consistent with the mindset of defending the existing lifestyle, accepted and endorsed, culturally and politically.

I recall a documentary interview to a young woman in a 3rd world I can't name, around the neighborhood of barracks where she lived, where she was asked about this wasteful american lifestyle, and she solely acknowledged, in her understanding, how nobody wants to give up such luxuries once they have them, IOW "oh yah, we live in shitty conditions here, and thos ppls are like totes wasting n shit, but I can totes gedit how/why they/any1 in their shoes wouldn't wonna give that up" and thus we come back to my point.

Do you really think you have guns to defend your prosperous lifestyle?

Your prosperous lifestyle is defended with mercantile economics, just the way our prosperous lifestyle is defended.

It was in 1776 that Dr Adam Smith taught us how to defend our prosperity in his Wealth of Nations, and there is nothing in it, absolutely nothing, about guns.

And to confirm it, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights says nothing, absolutely nothing, about the right to bear arms.

So it is necessary for Americans to manufacture fantasies, such as guns defend prosperity, in order to justify guns.

Americans are in a gun trance, their critical minds are asleep, and the sleep of reason brings forth monsters. And we don't have long to wait for the next monster to strike in America.

Meanwhile we are free of the gun trance, and can see Americans are in thrall to their gun trance, and hope against hope that the Americans will wake up.

Isn't war a tool used in political economics?

Hey, if it feels good, do it.

This is the mantra of the narcissist.

The surprising thing is the shallowness and how wide spread it is.
