I recall an interview with an Iraq war veteran who mentioned offhand that every Iraqi household was allowed an AK-47. I think it's telling that the Iraqis pretty quickly decided taking on a modern military with firearms was a fools' errand and moved on to bombings. Tell me again how Uncle Sam is going to be given pause by the Saturday Night Special in the nightstand.
