^I certainly hope not, too, which is why I was amused when the OP asked "Do you agree with the sentence?"

    Default Mecca and Medina

For example, if an Islamic man commits adultery, he is subject to the same punishment as when a women commits adultery.

    There are two Islams.

The first is the Islam of Mecca and is a religion of peace and gathered a total of 150 followers.

Then Mohammed moved to Medina, realised the religion of peace was going nowhere, and so he began the religion of jihad, which has been outstandingly successful.

And if you ask an Islamic scholar about the interpretation of the Koran, the Hadith, and Siri, he will say the teaching from Medina supercede the teachings from Mecca.

In other words, the teachings of jihad from Medina supercede the teachings of peace from Mecca.

But interestingly, when Islamic propagandists quote the teaching of peace, they limit their quotes to the teachings from Mecca.

What do they take us for?

Hmm... something needs to change here.

I imagine a lashing machine, perhaps a "Wheel of Whips"

With the laws/punishments. There needs to be some sort of democracy, or at least a more humane law system.

I dont see what democracy has to do with this.

But I agree there needs be more humane punishments, and in the case presented by the OP, no punishment at all.

Because Sharia Law rules in such countries. And I refuse to call such a government that implements Sharia Law in this modern age a democracy. That's why I said there needs to be some sort of democracy over there.

And yes, I totally agree with the OP's case as well regarding the punishment.

According to Muhammed Morsi Sharia law is "the greatest incarnation of democracy". "Democracy" is on every poltician's lips today, regardess what they stand for, I dont actually see what it means most of the time.
