    Jesus never said a word against institutional slavery although he was surrounded by it.

    On the other hand I constantly repeat that, the abolition of slavey in 1833 by the House of Commons for the first time in history, is a glory of the Enlightenment.

    So certainly, on the question of institutional slavery, the opinion of the Enlightenment, and my good self, is more important than the opinion of Jesus.

    Jesus would've had a better understanding of slavery in his day than you and not have been influenced by propaganda. I trust his opinion over yours.
