    Humanities are pretty bad today. But science is, too. Not a lot of original thought there. Engineering is about the only hard discipline left. And maybe mathematics. But even engineering has gone soft except in the very best schools.

    Huh, never realised so many people were afraid of alternative views. Depends on course content. Some great stuff out there as well as some lousy degrees.

    Now back to your regularly scheduled STEM worship session.

    Colleges should be free to offer any topic of study and students should be free to pursue those studies. Just don't ask me to pay for it. I suspect many gender studies majors will end up on welfare or in porn and that makes me sad.
