The USA had a bourgeois revolution in 1776 and the bourgeoisie created the Global Financial Crisis of 2008 by failure to regulate capitalism.

By contrast, Australia, heir to the Scottish and English Enlightenment, had no bourgeois revolution and does regulate capitalism, and has been growing non stop for a quarter of century with an AAA Credit Rating.
