So Mad Max is an expression of an American Archetype.

Americans readily express their Archetypes in their movies.

And Typology is the study of types, and Archetypes are one of the types, easy to study in American movies.
Jung clearly stated that type and archetype are distinct.

Evil exists because nature prevents all us from getting what we want. People have to compete to some extent for survival, for their wants and needs, and this creates conflict. Ultimately, interests clash, whether they be mental or physical and evil is committed. I think that is why concepts such as heaven hold such sway. It is a place of abundance and no desire, hence no conflict or evil.

Type is the personality type, while archetype is the social type.

And I admit I would like to slip archetypes into the conversation in order to raise the conversation above the narcissistic.

Well, personality types are about the personal, while archetypes are bigger than the personal.
