Default Differences Between Personalitycafe.com and typologycentral.com moderating

Okay, so when I was on personalitycafe a while back, I was banned when I started a couple threads tongue-in-cheek about wanting to be banned and my account deleted, etc.

When I did that on this site, the mods here seem to have laughed me off.

Is there a reason why the mods here would do things on a case by case basis (realizing that I am not a 'abuser user' but a 'joking user') whereas on PerC they instantly permaban people without warning or appeal allowed? I also notice that DJArendee is a user here, whereas on PerC he was banned years ago. This site just seems a lot more chill about people who sometimes are abrasive or just have a different kind of style...

You got banned for posting a thread joking about being banned?

I dunno. We try to foster a bit of variety, even at the 'poles,' so to speak. What good is a website on personality if you can't actually explore personality?

Edit: @OP, actually, here they demand you commit TypeC suicide by scrambling your own password if you ask to be banned yet cannot seem to stay away - they won't do it for ya

    Yay, more irrelevant forum dirt-dishing...!

The majority of people over there who get banned had it coming. I might have seen you banned, but I can't remember what I read at this point... some are really non-events, I wasn't really paying attention.

This forum does allow a lot more speech on things that might get you banned over there, so you'll probably be fine here as long as you're not a total asshat.

my observations from this thread: over there they are extremely fond of tiny boxes and are mean and power hungry. Here there's still boxes but they're prettier and have big screen tvs and lots of really good books, plus it's comfier here. And it's like unless you're a total delusional douche and don't accept what you did and keep doing what you did, then you get banned. After the mods have talked to you 40 billion times. Over their it's like Oh you want to talk about how people are stupid? bannage!

    that is all

i dunno what else to say so

What makes someone who is already happily enrolled at TypologyCentral decide to also join PersonalityCafe, @Jennifer?

PerC is Fe to the max, noisy and in your face. TypoC is more Fi oriented.

    Positive:
    - Much more posting activity
    - Much more variety of discussion
    - Forum is more strictly maintained

    Negative:
    - Higher "young poster" quotient
    - Forum is larger and it's easy not to know many other active members
    - Forum is more strictly maintained

Average membership age here is older by some years, the environment is slower-paced and more homogeneous.

    Different strokes...

Interesting way to look at it, I don't remember if I thought of it in Fi/Fe terms before.

This place can also feel like "Blue's Home for Imaginary Friends" sometimes. But that's kinda Fi, ain't it?
