For a long time I didn't read the news, found it too depressing. But recently I've been getting in to keeping up on (some) current events. Because I realized I was ignorant about things that were happening, not that I really get in to such conversations all that much, and also because a war could break out and I've have no idea. *BBC News app - comprehensive, well written and broad, brief articles and so far I am not aware of a strong political bias either way.
*Alien Blue app (Reddit) - This does have interesting articles and information brought to the fore, it does also have a lot of garbage and the style of humor that is popular I'm now finding tedious - it's easy to ignore that though.
*The Week App - Good to skim, I tend to find the style is 'in analysis' type of articles. Though I don't read too many of them. I'm a fan of the magazine because it covers many news sources and combines them, for a balanced political view.
*This American Life podcast - obscure stories and interesting information on life. Haven't listened to it in a while though.
