Is there a huge significance of the Northeast Republican Leadership Conference? I am asking because Ron Paul won the straw poll.... in California back in 2012, even though it didn't amount to much... because... you know... California.

Any of the polls individually don't mean much.

But when someone who has been trailing begins to lead in multiple polls, that's when you can start to treat them like a front runner.

Rand took the CPAC straw poll (which doesn't mean much) but then also led the CNN poll the next week.

I understand that much, just curious if it was one of those big polls like the Iowa straw poll that people seem to be drawn to for it "signifying the next" republican candidate.
