My government does not have absolute power, my government has limited power under liberal democracy in order to maximise freedom and equality.

As long as your government decides to honor liberal democracy. If it decides that absolute power is more appealing, what is your unarmed populace going to do about it?

Guns are so obviously a way of having absolute power over another person, they are absolutely corrupting.

And how difficult or even impossible it is for Americans to admit guns have corrupted their culture.

And of course we don't want their gun culture and their gun pornography here.
No. All of that^ is a misnomer. It is also a convolution of the nature of people relative to balance (imbalance, in Australia's instance) of power.

The context you suggested reads too familiar as "Limit freedom of people." "Maximize freedom to dominate people."

"Equality =0 for you and more for me". The biggest lies are the most believable. This is what Adolf Hitler taught the world. You're all just going to get showers in the bath house. 6 million souls taught everyone else to not believe the biggest lies. It's good the nature of people is to be suspicious.

Please learn to manage yourself civily.

For the record, a gun is an inanimate object. Ideally it doesn't have to be used, unless of course someone with lust for more power tries to come and dominate someone or try taking away their God-given freedom.

And that is why people have the right to bear arms. And it shall not be infringed.

You're right. That's all I hear my fellow Americans talking about. How we can force our gun culture on Australia. As a nation, we've been plotting this for years, hoping to corrupt the holy motherland of Oz with gun pornography. Speaking of which, is it just a coincidence that guns are phallic shaped and bullets strangely resemble the head of a penis, penetrating victims in a bloody vaginal wound? I think it's related to our misogynist patriarchy.

I've been called a criminal, a terrorist, and a threat to the known universe. But everything you were told is a lie. The truth is, they've taken our freedom, our home, and our future. The time has come for all humanity to take a stand...

No. He relied principally on being the "other" to a Labour party in disarray, and deliberately made few promises because he didn't have to. He can't even keep those, as the boats remain unstopped and Mr. Hockey has raised the debt ceiling by a stupefying amount. I hope for your sake the rest of your assertions are not as faulty as this one.

If my government didn't honour liberal democracy, they wouldn't last two minutes, because unlike you we have a Loyal Oppostion, our armed forces are loyal to the Sovereign not to the government of the day, we have an independent Judiciary which would immediately declare the government illegal, and our Sovereign would immediately dismiss the government.

Simply, our government could not govern if they abandoned liberal democracy.

I must be living in a different country as the boats have been stopped and thousands of lives saved.

Our government debt is low compared with other OECD countries and is coming down and is easily managed in a economy that has been growing for 24 years. Gosh, we have a triple A credit rating.

And apart from the Labor Party and the Green Party we are all relaxed and comfortable with our new government, that is likely to stay there for at least two terms, or even more.
