Their concern is that some in our government are angling for total civilian disarmament.

I doubt they would ever be successful.

But what if they were? What if it actually were possible for the government to effectively keep guns out of everyone's hands? What would be the main objections to that?

Of course it's possible for the government to do it.

They just don't want the dead civilians and LEO's on their hands that it would cost.

Also, there aren't enough now (or likely ever will be) in our gov't who want complete civilian disarmament for it to ever come up for a vote.

I think it's a bit like saying it's possible for the government to ban drugs.

I guess you don't have anything to worry about then. Case closed. We can all relax.

One can never relax while there are still those who want us disarmed.

And so the fight will go on, as long as it needs to.

So it's a threat, but it's never going to happen, because you're going to stay vigilant against it, because it's a threat, but it's never going to happen, because you're going to stay vigilant against it, because it's a threat, but it's never going to happen, because you're going to stay vigilant against it, because it's a threat, but it's never going to happen, because you're going to stay vigilant against it...

It seems kind of Orwellian. It's sort of a war you won't win and won't lose, but you'll carry on forever.

The options for both sides are lose or carry on forever. I'll carry on and I think my opponents will too.

We would like to disarm your psychological defences so that you can relax.

And as long as you maintain your psychological defences, you will remain tense.

And interestingly it is personal tension that is the basis for social control.

So if we want to be free, we need to let go our personal tension and relax.

And we can relax by disarming our psychological defences.

But we are in a trance loop where the very idea of disarming makes us tense. And so we loop round and round with no exit.

So this is a trance loop from which there is no escape. Quite like a cult.

Jesus god. Are you ever going to let this die? I get passion, but this is just rediculous bordering on religious-like obsession.

It's one thing to debate passionately (which you clearly are), but it's another to just talk in a passive aggressive poem each time that doesn't address much, and further can be wildly misinteprted. If you spoke in a more clear format, but might find the discussion more constructive for both of you. All you're doing is just pissing people off (even those that agree with you).
